Pope's gift Obamafied!
The gift President Obama will present to Pope Benedict XVI when he visits the Vatican has been announced. But the precious stole, which once graced the remains of St. John Neumann, a well-known American saint, has been updated by the Obama children to be more inclusive and multi-cultural with the addition of rainbow-colored handprints.

I need to ask a question ... how in the world did the O have St. John Neumann's stole to begin with? Doesn't it belong to the Church? I am just blond with confusion this day...
On the other hand, the O is really gifting what is not his anyway, to someone whose it is, anyway...kind of like the stimulus packages, no?

This is just so ugly. I really hope you are kidding, but you know what there are alot of Catholic churches where this stole would fit right in. What in the world happened to taste in art, music etc?
I thought the stimulus package was gifting what is not his to those to whom it never should have gone?
Are you joking? Somehow this reminds me of a patient who had no appreciation of what the rosary is. She was leaving the hospital and, motioned for her not to forget her rosary, she said here, you can have this, it's just a rosary that you pray with and catholics use and it has magical powers. I was dumbfounded.Needless to say, I left the room without saying a word asking Mary to forgive us all in our ignorance.
